On Friday, December 6, representatives from the County of Simcoe, members of BWG Council and representatives from the BWG Office of Economic Development presented the 2019 Simcoe County Age-Friendly Business Recognition Award to four local businesses: Hearing Life, Bradford Wellness Centre, Holland Gardens Retirement Residence and The Elden of Bradford Retirement Residence.
The award recognizes businesses that have purposely taking action to increase awareness and provide support for the needs of older adults in Simcoe County.
BWG businesses earned four of a total of 16 awards presented to businesses in Simcoe County, finishing with the highest number by municipality. Three of these businesses – Bradford Wellness, Holland Gardens and The Elden are beneficiaries of the Town’s Downtown and Seniors Housing CIP programs.
