Grand Openings & Celebrations

The Office of Economic Development helps organize your Grand Opening or Business Anniversary by inviting the Mayor, Councillors, MP, MPP, Board of Trade and local media; arranging a ribbon cutting and photo opportunity; and posting to the Town’s online Events Calendar. For Special Events, we will advise Council and post online.

Please provide provide two weeks’ notice. Business Anniversaries are for 10, 20 or 25-years or in 5-year increments beyond 25 years.

Please note that during COVID, Grand Openings will be restricted to phases of the Government of Ontario’s Keeping Ontario Safe and Open Framework that will allow for at least 10 participants indoors. Applications will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis to ensure a safety-first approach.
