Seniors Housing Community Improvement Plan

Seniors Housing Community Improvement Plan

Our newly adopted BWG Seniors Housing Community Improvement Plan is a three year plan aimed at stimulating investment by the private sector in the development of housing that caters to seniors within the community and beyond.

Objectives of the Seniors Housing CIP Program

  1. Stimulate investment by the private sector in the development of housing that caters to seniors within the community and beyond.
  2. Provide or direct contribution to achieving a key strategic priority of the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury.
  3. Reduce development costs which, in and of themselves, may act as a constraint to the delivery of seniors housing.
  4. Stimulate the development of at least 250 seniors living/dwelling units within the near future.

Please note that the Seniors Housing CIP is now suspended, having met Council's mandate of 250 new assisted living units. Applications are still being received for future consideration.

Applications are now being accepted
and will be reviewed on a rolling basis throughout the year.
