People in Bradford West Gwillimbury have a strong sense of community. They enthusiastically attend many public events during the year as well as a variety of events organized by community organizations.

Most of these events have a business component. They generate revenue opportunities and often constitute elements of marketing plans.

Farmers Market

Farmers Market

The Bradford Farmers' Market is held every Saturday from the end of May to mid-October. It is located in the parking lot of the Library and Cultural Centre at 425 Holland Street West. Vendors sell fresh produce, honey products, dairy and meat products, and crafts.

Carrot Fest

Carrot Fest

Starting in 1998, Carrot Fest in its current form is Bradford West Gwillimbury's largest annual festival and in 2013 the WestJet Fun Festival Series ranked it as the #1 festival in Ontario and #3 in Canada. The festival consists of vendors, street performances, buskers, a midway, professional wrestling, live music and all kinds of carrot inspired food. Don't forget to visit the Town's booth in the centre of the festival for your free carrot!

Holland Marsh Soupfest

Soup Fest

Soupfest has become one of South Simcoe's popular annual festivals thanks to the success of the first event, which took place in November 2008 at the Portuguese Cultural Centre in Bradford West Gwillimbury and attracted thousands of people. The festival features a wide variety of soups from different cultures prepared by local restaurants, as well as a farmers' and artisans' market, and children's entertainment. It is organized in partnership with the Holland Marsh Growers' Association and King Township.

Studio Art Tour

Fireworks

In September local artist open their studios and showcase their work to the public. From pottery, woodworking, jewellery, acrylic, watercolour and photography it is a wonderful opportunity to buy directly from talented artists. Tour our beautiful countryside in Bradford West Gwillimbury as you travel around the community to visit the artists.

Santa Claus Parade

Santa

Every year, Bradford West Gwillimbury enjoys a visit from Santa who is joined by many of the local businesses and community groups for a stroll down the Town's main corridor. For the past several years the parade has taken place at night - the festive lights of an evening parade brighten spirits and bring smiles to all those in attendance. Elves collect the children's letters that are then delivered to Santa himself.
