Bradford West Gwillimbury is well positioned for tourism development. Many people are attracted to our parks, waterways and recreation facilities, and there are several special events that combine rural charm with urban amenities and bring in thousands of people.

   

Situated in Simcoe County, on the Holland River leading to Lake Simcoe, Bradford West Gwillimbury is a gateway to the region’s beaches, hiking and cycling trails, skiing, championship golf, waterways and fishing, snowmobiling, shopping, antiques and scenic drives.

   

In the Town itself, visitors can tour the Holland Marsh, the heart of Canada's vegetable industry, and take a stroll through the Scanlon Creek Conservation Area and enjoy nature's tranquillity. 



Located in the heart of Bradford West Gwillimbury, Scanlon Creek Conservation Area offers an escape from the everyday and a chance to unwind in a pristine, natural setting.  Enjoy over 10 km of scenic trails winding through the property, and picnic pavilions that can accommodate large group or social gatherings.

Future facility development includes the Leisure Centre and the Library and Cultural Centre, both on Holland Street West. The Leisure Centre will have an eight-lane competitive pool and two NHL-sized hockey rinks with combined seating for 1,300, as well as a gymnasium and fitness centre. The Library and Culture Centre will provide a multitude of leisure opportunities and programs. Construction of both centres will begin in the spring of 2010.
