Waterstone Estates and Farm

The Holland Marsh Growers Association hosted a Hoedown on Jan 28th, 2010 to celebrate the 5th Anniversary of the Green Belt Foundation. Guests enjoyed a delicious meal made from local supplies or produced within 40 km of the Holland Marsh.
Dingo Farms supplied the burgers and sausages, all the vegetables came from the Holland Marsh Growers Association farms, apple cider was donated by Pine Orchard Farms while wine and beer was supplied by King Brewery.
Very tasty homemade soups and a sprout salad were supplied by Local farmers Jason Verkaik, John Gorzo and Avia Eek. Sampling the soups was a way to introduced guests to a taste of what they will experience when attending the Holland Marsh Soupfest happening in Oct 2010.

Special Guests included; Bradford West Gwillimbury Mayor Doug White, King Township Councilor Jake Rupke, York-Simcoe MPP, Julia Munro and Friends of the Green Belt Foundation President Burkhard Mausber.

Great country music and fiddle playing kept guests tapping their feet all night long. Morley Batt, a local bee keeper, had guest up square dancing and meeting new faces as they swung their partners round and round. A fun time was had by all in attendance.
