Community Improvement Plans

Community Improvement Plans

The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury has recently adopted a compendium of key Community Improvement Plans in order to incentivize development in our Municipality.

Seniors Housing Community Improvement Plan

Our newly adopted BWG Seniors Housing Community Improvement Plan is a three year plan aimed at stimulating investment by the private sector in the development of housing that caters to seniors within the community and beyond.

Please note that the Seniors Housing CIP is now suspended, having met Council's mandate of 250 new assisted living units. Applications are still being received for future consideration.

Applications are now being accepted
and will be reviewed on a rolling basis throughout the year.

Downtown Revitalization Program: Downtown Community Improvement Plan

Our updated Downtown Community Improvement Plan complements the Downtown Bradford Revitalization Strategy (DBRS) and acts as an implementation mechanism to promote private sector investment in downtown Bradford, by promoting the redevelopment of underused and vacant properties by offering financial incentive programs for private Owners and Tenants. This is a five year program scheduled to run from July 2016 to June 2021.

Applications are now being accepted
and will be reviewed on a rolling basis throughout the year.

Industrial Areas Community Improvement Plan

In addition, Council has approved an updated Industrial Areas CIP with the goal of stimulating investment by the private sector in industrially-zoned employment districts including Artesian and Reagens Industrial Parks. This is a five year program scheduled to run from July 2016 to June 2021.

Applications are now being accepted
